About
The Railway Coastal Museum is located at 495 Water Street, in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. It focuses on the history of the Newfoundland Railway and Coastal Boat Services, with 42 informational panels, numerous artifact displays, a working model train display, and a full-sized diorama of a historic Newfoundland Railway train (constructed from real train cars that have been cut in half!) .
The museum is a great place to drop by and learn the intriguing story that helped define Newfoundland and Labrador.
Given advance notice, we can handle group tours, children’s Little Toot Birthday Parties, and stand-up receptions. We can arrange to have former railway and coastal boat employees on site to help guide a tour, answer questions, and share their unique memories.
